Selfishness The thought of not being able to have had the chance to know my siblings, good friends, or friendly people in our local town really makes the subject of abortion seem really simple to address. I don’t believe that there is any subject more black and white as abortion. The company we keep and those we grow up with really shape us into who we are today. The taking of a life is just a simple act of selfishness. I have three amazing sisters and one incredible brother. To even think for one minute about not having one of them in my life because of a selfish act of my mother sickens me. I thank God every day that she is as passionate am I on the subject. Each one has brought an important piece to my life, from the silly times to the more serious, and the seemingly crazy stuff. Yes we have had our share of ups and downs, but nothing I wish I did not have to have. I feel there are many aspects to the many different reasons for the thought of abortion. I think about the stories from my parents and the hard time and decisions that they have had to endure. I know that there were two time with the five of us that there were tremendous difficulties and obstacles that had to be overcome while raising us. There were times of nothing to eat, times of no money, and times of the young and immature ideas. Many of the choices to so the right thing were not easy because of choices that were made were not easy. Young love, lack of proper planning, and in the moment feelings brought my sister into this world. This time was not planned nor was it a convenience for either of them. Both young and full of dreams, this was far from where they might have thought they were going to be. I guess that’s where you can say,” you play you pay.” You just adjust to what happens and I believe that things happen for a reason.
