A zoo has animals from all regions of the world. Three examples of animals found in a zoo include: pandas, otters, and jaguars. First, pandas are herbivores native to China, and most people are amazed their diet consists almost entirely of bamboo, next, otters live on the majority of the continent of the world and are playful seafaring animals that huge numbers of children love to watch at a zoo, and lastly, jaguars are predators found in Central and South America and are proficient stalkers due to having shorter limbs. Pandas, otters, and jaguars are just three of the multifarious animals students learn about working at a zoo after school and
weekends.
Additionally, working after school and weekends at a zoo rewards a fair wage for students. The salary at the zoo; for example, in Delaware is the minimum wage. The Delaware minimum wage is automatically replaced with the Federal minimum wage rate if it becomes higher. Furthermore, the interactions students encounter working with animals and engaging the public is constant; thus, it is essential to have good oral interpersonal communication skills, social skills and patience.
