The problem with the world is not that we do not know how to eliminate the bad from the good, it is that we do not know how to create laws that are fair and serve justice for all. Laws tend to have contradictory wordings, or they contradict another law. The law sometimes is an unjust system that seems to serve the government instead of the people. The law is there to establish stability for the government and its control rather than its intended purpose, which is to serve and protect the people that live in that society. There are people who are in prison for marijuana charges and serving more time than a person who committed murder. This is ridiculous considering that marijuana is a plant that can help with mental and physical illness. Marijuana could also help with providing jobs for people. Why is a drug that can help people with their eyesight, people having seizures, and much more, be illegal? I have never heard of tobacco saving a person’s life or in the same sense, alcohol. Yet, they are both legal. This makes no sense considering what weed can do for a person and what tobacco cannot do for a person. When taking this into consideration marijuana should be legal, and there is no clear reason for it not to be legal.
Marijuana can create a number of jobs for people in the health field and create stores that provide cannabis, giving people jobs and having more businesses in America instead of somewhere else.
