One of the many activities available is tubing. To tube, you get on a round raft type of object and you sit in the middle of it and ride down the river. You can see all the beautiful things around you, such as the trees, the little islands and the wildlife on the sides of the river. The trees are a brilliant green all summer and in spring they bloom with lovely white and pink colors. In autumn, they turn a bright red, yellow, and orange, lighting up the river. Some islands look eerie in winter because it is hard to see through all the branches and trees, giving the island a dark, spooky look. Other islands look warm and inviting, beckoning you in with their luscious branches full of different colored leaves. The wildlife looks beautiful, sometimes family of deer are visible; you can usually see one or two yearlings with their mother. Other times you can see chunky little groundhogs, usually during spring time. To see the groundhogs, you have to pay attention minutely because they are usually undistinguished among all the trees and the ground. Kayaking and canoeing are other options, which are both just as entertaining as tubing except they are more serene. You can put your hands in the river and sometimes feel the scaly fish rub up against your hand.…

To be in its presence alone is refreshing. While many drive their car through the canyon and other natural sights, it is simply a mode of transportation and does not only define your experience with nature. Personally, I have never been to the Grand Canyon, and if I were to go, I would probably drive through some locations of the park rather than walk, especially in that heat. But I still believe I would have a life changing experience and would have interacted with an unusual form of nature. Abbey may see this as too "industrial" to be experiencing the value of nature, sometimes it may be the only realistic way because of time, useful things, knowledge, and physical ability. Not all of us have big hiking and camping knowledge, the ability to last in a desert, or the legs to carry us through miles of traveling. But we have the mind and soul to experience it. We could be at Disney World, but instead we're trying to experience the value of nature, and this purpose should be valued more. I do not believe that industrial tourism degrades the value of tourism to the point Abbey believes; rather it gives the average human a chance to value the nature we try to protect. Abbey argues that the presence of humans insults the value of nature through the pollution, hanging around or wasting time that seems to go with their form of tourism. However, people need to be in the presence of nature in order to form a connection with nature, and this I believe is very important to help increase the overall protection and value of nature and the health of the…

The canyons stretch as far as the eyes can see. The canyons that were very deep and steep have a lot of vertical and horizontal stripes and its color is not same each other. The color of canyon is overall brown but the top part of canyon is red, the middle is yellow, and the bottom part seems to be gray or black color. I think the reason the color of the canyon looks different is the sunlight, because the sunlight has all different colors of light in it. As the time goes on, I can see more various colors of the canyons. Even shadow of the light also creates beautiful scenes. The view of plunging cliffs also seduces visitors far away.…

The Grand Canyon National Park, in it’s exceptional beauty, is special for many reasons. Located in Arizona, it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In 600-700 A.D. the Coconino people showed up. The climate and various other factors forced both tribes out of the area and the Cerbat people, which are actually the ancestors to the Havasupai Indians, and the Paiutes moved in.…

    1. Kawasan Falls in Badian - This gorgeous cascade of nature, which is in the middle of the forest, is situated Southwest of the city. It is approximately a 2.5-3 hour drive depending on the transportation. Buses usually take 3 hours and with a private vehicle it takes a lot faster. You will be in for a little adventurebecause you have to walk for about 20 minutes from the road/parking lot to the falls itself. You might find yourself complaining from the walk, heat, and the rocky road plus carrying whatever you have with you but once you get there you couldn't help yourself but say "It's all worth it!". The place has 3 elevations that one can explore. You will get to see the major falls first, at the foot of the Kawasan Falls. Here, you can rent a bamboo raft for 250 pesos for an hour and the raft drivers will navigate the raft through the falling water, behind the falling water, under the cave and back to the open pool of water. You will surely enjoy swimming in the real nice cool water. You can also check out the “source” of the falls which is at the third elevation of the Falls. You have to be ready for more walking and an adventure of climbing. Also on your way there, you will encounter more falls along with the rivers. Finally, at the source of the falls, you can get there a great massage from forceful gush of the flowing water.…
