The death penalty also sends out an important message to everyone. Many people believe that death penalty should remain the same in the U.S because there are many reasons why people support death penalty, which is deterrence, retribution and mortality. Our society is protected by death penalty because it helps punish whoever needs to be punished, making the wrong choice you have to pay a price similar to your decision. When a crime is committed, the person that committed it is disturbing the order of the society, these crimes take peace and lives away from the society and whoever commit it deserve to be punished equally. The death penalty is a fair punishment that help keep the society in order and punishes the criminal for their crimes.

Even Though many support death penalty because it is right to murder the murderer which is an eye for an eye and they totally deserve it, they also believe that executing people help deter violent crimes, in some way these are true but it does not outweigh the the other side of the issue which death penalty is unconstitutional. Death penalty is a very powerful system, supporters argue that it help decreases crime rate, criminals rarely make second thoughts about consequences of their actions especially when committing such a crime like murdering or raping. Many people do not agree with death penalty because it is an immoral act that has possibilities to execute an innocent citizen, the cost of death penalty is way too high to establish and there is no guaranteed a fair judgement which make death penalty unconstitutional because it is against the fourteenth amendment on cruel and unusual, the chance of a man who killed a white victim is much greater than the chance of a person who murdered a black victim which proves that death penalty is unconstitutional. It’s really arguable that countries are still using capital punishment to try and deter crimes. Many countries that are still using capital punishment suffer from a higher crime rate which is ironic. In the case against the death penalty is much stronger

We, the American people, are in charge of our country and we must make her forever progressive and right. Part of this forward motion is civil disobedience. Some people might agree with the death penalty. Families get devastated when someone they love and care about has died. Its different when that person they care so much about has been murdered or killed. People tend to hate that person and have the urge to do just about anything to them in order for them to suffer, which causes us to take, revenge on them. This matter has lead to the death penalty. This is a punishment that slowly kills the man or woman that has committed the crime. Why should we have pity on those who choose to kill? If they felt powerful enough to kill, then we should be able to do the same to them. Whatever their reason is that they choose to kill they should be punished someway, somehow.…

The death penalty is set in place to punish individuals for the most violent crimes. Its purpose to keep the death penalty legal was to deter people from doing these horrible crimes. That attempt has failed terribly. According to a report conducted by the National Research Council, it was said that we could not depend on the death penalty to deter the effect of murder rates. “Claiming that the death penalty has a deterrent effect on murder rates are fundamentally flawed and should not be used when making policy decisions” (Radelet & Locock, 2012).…

Crime is a major problem in our world today. Some people in our country live in fear that they will be the next victim of a crime; they could be robbed, raped, or even murdered. There are so many theories on how to stop crime. One of the theories is the use of the death penalty as a deterrent. There are a lot of issues that surround that idea that make the use of the death penalty just as bad as the accused committing murder. It is very contradictive, inconsistent, and unethical. Although some people believe that the death penalty deters crime, there are many arguments against it. For example, the costs are extremely high, racism is involved, and there are innocent people on death row to list a few.…

The death penalty is an extremely controversial topic in America, and people usually shy away from it, but speaking about controversial topics can help us come close to actually find solutions. This exercise was conducted in my survey of law class in which, we had gone over several homicide cases in which the criminal received the death penalty. In the end of the lesson, our teacher asked a simple question “raise your hand if you believe in the death penalty”. I was appalled to see that more than half believed it was worth it. In my mind it was clear that even though that person could have murdered another human being, we have no jurisdiction to kill them, and we would be no better as civilized being if we killed him.…

There have been many studies trying to prove or disprove a point regarding the death penalty. Some have regarded the death penalty as a hindrance, and some have regarded it as state sanctioned murder and not civilized. The death penalty has been linked to societies for hundreds of years. More recently, as we become more civilized, the death penalty has been questioned on if it is the correct way to so enforce justice on the people. The death penalty is a highly controversial subject. According to my research there are some people who believe the death penalty is right just because it is safer to end one condemned life than to risk the lives of other innocent people. The death penalty is most commonly legal only for the most extreme cases, such as premeditated murder. Even in the event of murder, out of the 15,000 committed each year, we are only now reaching the 1,000 execution mark after thirty years! This plainly shows that those who may be pro capital punishment still use it sparingly.…

The death penalty is something that has many countries in the world divided. In my opinion, I believe that the death penalty should be legal throughout the country. There are many reasons as to why the death penalty should be legalized in the country including retribution, deterrence, and morality. Also, because opposing arguments do not hold up, I will discredit the ideas that the death penalty is not constitutional, irreversible mistakes are made, and that race and income will face disproportionality.…

Some people are against the killing of others for any reasons. Other people feel that certain crimes should be punished by death. The death penalty is a very controversial topic in the United States today and has been for a number of years, because people's life is at risk. The reviewing the numbers of facts prove that the death penalty should not be enforced. I think death penalty is the ultimate denial of human rights. It violates the right to life as proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is the ultimate cruel, inhuman, and degrading punishment. It should be abolished in this country it's racial discrimination, the financial cost and barbarity.…
