Gun control is much needed in our society today. Nowadays, it seems so simple to acquire a gun. With these weapons, we are more prone to utilising them incorrectly and for the wrong reasons. Just this summer on June 12, 2016, a mass shooting occurred at a gay nightclub in Orlando. Many people went to the nightclub only wanted to have fun in a safe environment yet no one could have predicted that for some it was their last. “It was just, bang, bang, bang!" Christopher Hansen said ("Several people injured in shooting at Florida gay club, police say."). This shooting illustrates the necessity of a reform of how guns should be obtained. Therefore, in order to “form a more perfect Union” and “insure domestic Tranquility,” we must educate anyone and everyone about these weapons. In March 2016, “a 16-year-old boy for allegedly shooting his grandmother, his sister and a nephew over an argument about getting ready for school” (Castillo). Due to a lack of education, regarding these firearms, people believe it is okay to simply shoot someone over a measly disagreement. With reference to USA Today’s article “Educate public on gun safety,” one way to inform the public would be to “Teach kids gun safety, but do it when they are old enough to know the difference between shootings in cartoons and real life where people die.” To sum up, we should start at a young age in order to enlighten our nation about
