90% of the students get scholarships to private or parochial high schools instead of having them go to a regular school.
Student’s give up when things get difficult, but others strive and learn. Poor performance shouldn’t be blamed upon lack of ability but on lack of effort. The students who continue to learn are the ones who see mistakes as problems to be solved. Most people might have 2 views on intelligence, growth mind-set and the fixed mind-set. People who believe in a fixed mind-set have the idea that people only have a certain amount of intelligence they’re born with and that is it, most of the people with a fixed mind-set are less willing to admit to their mistakes and try to fix them. On the other hand the growth mind-set is when you believe that the intelligence is able to be worked with and developed through education and hard work. In order to transmit a growth mind-set you must praise a student for their effort not intelligence. The students’ that are praised for their intelligence are the ones who shield themselves from challenging assignments more often than the other students’ who were praised for their effort.
