Persuasive Essay On Pokemon Go
Video Games. Who knew that one particular video game, could help benefit our lives? Pokemon Go. The newly released augmented game has gained an uproar of players, and benefits also rose too. But some disagree, but Pokemon Go should be allowed to play. I have gathered three important reasons, supported by evidence to back this claim up. The reasons consist of: Pokemon Go acted as a health booster, helped players socialize, and added popularity to businesses.

To begin, Pokemon Go acted as a health booster for many people. According to the article "Pokemon Go Has Kids on the Move- and Their Phones, By: Kj Dell’Antonia" implies, "The game requires the player to be active." This means you have to venture out of your cold, dark homes to play. Secondly, "Pokemon Go Brings Augmented Reality to a Mass Audience, By: Nick Wingfield" reads, "It has sent people into streets, parks onto beaches

As quoted from the news report by NBC, "Pokemon Go Mania Leads To Dangerous Consequences," "Most retail businesses are cashing in on the Pokemon mania." Small businesses are finally starting to gain consumers due to their shop being a Poke-Stop. Another piece of evidence was revealed again by Wingfield, "Fast-food restaurants, coffee shops, and other establishments become sponsored locations where people are mortivated to pick up virtual loot." Imagine your Burger King, becoming a Poke-Stop! This all neatly wraps up, and properly introduces my reasons to support my claim.

To end off, repeating from my introduction, Pokemon Go should be allowed to play. Beneficial factors from the game has helped many people, and the society in general. Even if negative outcomes rose, the positives far outweigh them. My three reasons: Acted as a health booster, social starter, and business helper, were all key beneficial factors. This is why I think we should all fight, and countinue to play Pokémon

Famed Japanese video game creator Shigeru Miyamoto is famously quoted, “Video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock-n-roll.” While the backlash against Rock- and Roll music has much subsided, the video game industry has come under increasing scrutiny for its addictive qualities. Consistent video game play has been linked to increasing child hood obesity rates worldwide. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that almost 18% of US teens are obese, linking this statistic to high rates of inactivity from television and video game consumption. The World Health Organization has overweight youngsters were 20 % more likely to spend at least two hours on the games a day. This increase in childhood obesity has…
