However, as humans, one should always give a chance for another to reform. What people do not recognize is that the world cannot reform itself without self-change; the guilty have a chance to change themselves too. One of the Bible’s purposes is to state laws of humanity and morals, such as Matthew 5:44 which states, “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” The meaning of this verse is to elaborate on the subject of serving and encouraging one to change themselves, and pray for them. Matthew 5:44 closely relates to the idea of why the trial of one’s persecution should be abolished. Humans need to learn to give a second opportunity, considering it could be one day when they are in a similar situation. The thought of having a loved one put in a situation of death is scarring to the minds of many. Capital Punishment is the opposite of our country’s exceptionalism, and includes an exceeding amounts of deformities, such as expenses and basic morals of a human. This law is not something that should viewed as “justice” in our nation’s system. Picture yourself anticipating your death, along with many other people. Would you still encourage this nation to place people in a situation like this? A united country is in need of reforming this merciless
