In the article The Ecological Role of Wolves it states. When the wolves chase the elk the grass that the elk run over the grass can grow better. Wolves do not share their food and whenever they don't finish scavengers like ravens or grizzly bears will eat the leftovers. Whatever they do not finish gets turned into soil over time
For people who think wolves should be hunted here is why wolves should not be hunted .Wolves should not be hunted be hunted because they help the ecosystem by killing injured or diseased animals. Wolves also help with plants and help the elk trample the grass so new stuff can grow.
