Persuasive Essay: Should We Make College Free?
“Free college” has been a buzzword in the media lately. With millions of college students dealing with student loans and the importance of education, free college seems like a no brainer. A strained nation drowning in national debt begs to differ. Adding free college into the government budget while our country is over 19 trillion dollars in debt, and climbing, is a recipe for disaster.
The first flaw in this plan is the funding. Where will this money come from? How do we make college “free”? Simply put, this plan is free for college students but not for the rest of the population.
