Enclosed please find your post operative instructions for your review. You must have someone with you to drive you home and care for you the night of your surgery or the Surgery Center will cancel your surgery! The Surgery Center will go over instructions with the person picking you up the day of your surgery.
The Pre-Operative nurse should call you a day or two before your surgery. If you do not hear from them, please give me a call. An arrival time will be given to you, which may be earlier or slightly different from the time we discussed. Please arrive at the time the Surgery Center designates.
You may have nothing to eat or drink after midnight the evening before your surgery. If you have medications you think should be taken the morning of surgery, please discuss this with the pre-operative nurse or give Kim a call. There are some medications, like heart mediations, that should be taken. If in doubt, ask.

Also vitamins, herbs and diet pills should not be taken for two weeks leading up to surgery and two weeks after surgery.
• If you are taking Coumadin or any other blood thinning medication, please inform this office and we will instruct you when to stop taking those.
• It is MANDATORY you DO NOT SMOKE 2 weeks prior to your surgery. If you are unsure, PLEASE ASK.
Pre-Operative photos are taken prior to surgery. These confidential photos will not be disclosed to anyone; they are simply added to your in office record. If your photos have not been taken, please contact this office and you will be given a time to come to the office to have these taken BEFORE the day of surgery. If your photos are not on record, Dr. Young cannot perform your surgery.
