EASY TO BE GREEN (EGB)
EMPLOYEE MEMORANDUM
Date: March 17, 2013
To: Employees of Easy to be Green (EGB)
From: Human Resources Office
Subject: Employee Education Policies

The purpose of this memorandum is to remind you of EGB wants all employees, whatever their positions, to be able to discuss with the customer, at least in a basic way, the scientific concepts behind the company products and services.

To help ensure competency of all employees that is beginning six months from now, EGB will offer basic, intermediate and advanced courses in reading, writing and math .The courses will be offered during work hours and employees will be paid for the time they spend in class, though homework and studying must be done with employee’s own time and books will be provided. Progress in these courses will be taken into account in employee quarterly performance reviews and annual salary reviews. Employees encouraged to take courses at local universities, using company’s new tuition reimbursement program.

New Enhanced Tuition Reimbursement program • The current reimbursement of $3000 a year will increase to $5000 a year.
• Employees will be reimbursed for books as well as tuition fees.
• All the employees will be eligible.
• Employees will be able take off a half day, with pay, on the days their courses meet with the permission from the supervisor.

To receive reimbursement under these special conditions, however, employees must receive at least a B In the course. As otherwise required to receive a C grade for reimbursement . Other current tuition reimbursement policies will remain the same. To help employees who not being able to find appropriate courses, the company will provide a list of available and recommended universities. Please contact me if you have any

    PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion.
