Persuasive Speech: Should Everyone Turn Vegan?
Should everyone turn Vegan?

This is a speech to correct humanity and to promote veganism.

In the process of making milk, cheese and beef, calfs are generally taken away from their mothers within twenty four hours of birth, causing immense distress for both mother and calf. Could you imagine if the same thing was done to you and your mother.Supporting that, the female cow endures this four or five times before she is considered ‘spent’ which bluntly means she’s useless, therefore leading to slaughter. Just think about that, a female having to be impregnated by force for four to five times only to get her babies taken away from you and eventually get killed. If that was done to a human that would be four to five counts of rape and one count of manslaughter or murder. It’s inhumane isn't it? Now, all that is done just so you can drink your milk and eat your steaks.

I’ve talked to a lot of people about why they eat animals, most of them reply with ‘it’s because we’re natural carnivores and omnivores, and it’s just a natural thing for us to do.’ Are you aware that physiologically, we’re natural plant eaters? Our anatomy shows that the length of our intestines is somewhere between seven to thirteen times the length of our torso which is the same ratio of all the other non-meat eating animal intestines on this planet. Compared to the length of the intestines of real meat eaters like lions, hyenas and tigers which are only three to six times the length of their torso. They have a short intestinal tract so they can quickly push through the decaying and rotting animal flesh, animal protein, cholesterol, saturated fat, trans fatty acid. Which is why it is impossible for any real meat eaters to clog their arteries. Isn’t it coincidental how the number one killer among humans who eat meat, cheese, milk and eggs is heart disease due to clogged

Animals can basically be divided into three major categories namely the carnivores, the herbivores and the omnivores. Though they all belong to same parent class but there eating habits are pretty different. Carnivores are basically meat eaters. They generally live on live foods. The biological reason behind this is because they have large mouth and very sharp teeth. This allows them to easily get a hold on their prey and tear off the huge pieces of flesh. The short intestinal tract and the huge stomach is perfect for them to hold even an entire big fish. Carnivores prefer to eat meat because there digestive system basically lacks the ability to digest vegetable matter. Even if they try to live on vegetable they won’t be able to survive for long because there body won’t be absorbing any nutrients. As carnivores have a huge stomach. They don’t have to eat food very frequently as there…

People tend to pay as much attention to food as they do brushing their teeth. I urge you, however, to take a step back, slow down, and really think about the food you eat. Eating is a complex thing. It may surprise you. And when you actually think about eating, you will eventually come to think about eating meat. This is no accident, meat has it's pull on humanity. And on our world. The choices we make matter. According to the best-selling author Jonathan Safran Foer, eating the meat we know "is certainly the single worst thing that humans can do to the environment"(457). Foer has been recognized by Rolling Stones Magazine and Esquire for his many accomplishments. In one of his works, "Against Meat", Foer covers the relationship of meat and…

“On Apr. 10, 2001, the Washington Post re-ignited public debate about slaughterhouses with their exposé "They Die Piece by Piece.” The investigation found that animals in slaughterhouses were often cut apart "piece by piece" while still conscious” (Procon.org). There are two methods that usually being used to kill animals. Both methods are cruel and unethical to animals. The first method would be using carbon dioxide gas. The animals will be transferred into the conveyor belt that moves through the tunnel filled with carbon dioxide gas to kill the animals. The second method would be using electricity. The electric current is applied to the animals’ head for making them unconscious. Some animals are still alive during both methods and it would make them even more painful. This is just one aspect of cruelty for animals. Many opponents of vegetarianism say that animals are killed so the other organisms can live, and meats have been in our lives for 2.3 million years so there is nothing wrong with killing animal for foods. But being an animal has been already pitiful; we don’t need to create more suffering for…

Whats happens to our animals? After understanding where our products came from and the malicious tasks it takes to get them you now understand that there is no humane way to kill an animal. With the rate of meat, dairy, poultry, and eggs we need a massive amount of cows, chickens, pigs, and eggs are raped and slaughtered every day to provide our society desires. Millions of cows are raped over a 6 year period time to produce milk for our society. If that is not worse the baby cows are then taken away from their mother after approximately 24 hours of being born, and then are slaughtered within…

Industrial farmers appear to be more concerned with massive profit margins, than they do with producing quality food in providing meat and vegetables: “The cruelty of the factory farms—the cages are small, the slaughter is violent” (Foer 67). Spiritually, I cannot tolerate the brutal methods of animal treatment, which industrial ranchers and meat producers tend to follow in the 21st century. Therefore, it is important to follow an ethical version of the Standard American Diet, which provide the healthiest and most ethical production of food for human health. I believe that all living things should be treated with respect and reverence for what they provide, which sustains my own life through the sacrifice of their own. These are important aspects of the omnivore diet, which can be sustainable in the modern world. I follow a code of ethics in terms of how animals should be processed for consumption. The problem with eating meat is not necessarily eating the meat itself; it is respecting that another life form has given me life. This is why I support organically produced foods that will be processed through ethical farming methods within the general framework of the Standard American…

playing in mud, chickens running around in the yard, cows eating grass in the field, and a loving family, who take good care of all their animals. Sadly the reality is much different than this. Imagine a building with overcrowded conditions so intense that death is all around you. The smell of urine and feces fill the air, it's as unbearable as raw sewage. (Simile) and the building is so jam-packed that you can’t even learn to walk properly. This is just the beginning of your horrifying life as a chicken living in a factory farm. In these factory farms animals live like prisoners in camps (allusion), having everything that is important to them taken away including family, sunlight and their freedom. It is necessary at this time that we look at what is going in these farms and find out the other destructive impacts factory farming has.…

The consumption of meats dates back to our ancient predecessors dwelling amongst the land and early Native American tribes. The earliest forms of hunters and gathers believed strongly in all an animal had to offer, even after it was deceased. Once an animal was hunted they used each part of the animal so its life was not wasted unnecessarily. According to the Native Languages of the America, “Whether they were farming tribes or not, most Native American tribes had very meat-heavy diets.” (Native Languages of the Americas, 2011) This heavily laden diet led to other uses of their animal kill such as shelter and clothing.…

Living in the heart of the western American mountains, meat plays a big role in the generic lifestyle. Many families obtain their meats through recreational hunting, and fishing. Turning twelve in our community means that, you can now get your hunting license and go out with dad every weekend starting in September. It is safe to say that more than the majority of the families that live within the Bitterroot Valley consume a high percentage of meat, every day, for nutritional benefits as well as personal preference. It is the generic ‘western American’ thing to do, sit down with the family on a Sunday afternoon, say grace and eat a burger. One of the biggest holidays around, Thanksgiving, revolves around the harvesting, and consumption of meat. However there is another lifestyle that I feel is important to consider. If I could make a change in my community, big or small, I would choose to provide more vegetarian and vegan options for families to work into their lifestyles.…

William Paterson played a key role in creating our house of Representatives and the Senate because without his proposal, we would not have the governing system that we have today. He was prepared to create a system and compromise with other people’s ideas. He had gone to Princeton University and was a very smart man. After school, he had begun studying the law in the city of Princeton under Richard Stockton. When the War of Independence had begun, he had joined the vanguard of the New Jersey patriots. He had participated in the provincial congress (1775-1776), council of safety (1777), legislative council (1776-77), and the constitutional convention (1776).
