Peter Buffet Money Does Not Buy Kindness
Peter Buffet makes an interesting point that money does not buy kindness or trust therefore kindness is paid in hugs, laughs, gestures, etc. Peter Buffet writes, “The kindnesses that allowed me to trust people and in the basic goodness of the world could not be measured in dollars; they were paid for, in hugs and ice-cream cones and help with homework” (Pg. 12). Money does not buy kindness because there is no sentimental feelings when money is being used. For example, creating huge charities and signing off a big check does not make them be kind because they are not showing any interest of the charity. Anyone signing a big check to a charity is generous however, it is the people that should be cared, talked to, and be kind making them feel

This is what kindness does, it makes people feel healthy and joy about themselves or others. Money does not have sentimental meaning as kindness does. Even showing a little kindness to anyone or a stranger will make them feel healthy from the inside which eventually starts to build up the trust. The trust is important because it shows that people are there when someone is feeling upset or need someone to talk to. The trust can be difficult because they may be strangers to each other or are not used to someone being nice to them. Therefore, it is called building trust that takes time because there are many ways to build a trust. For instance, planning events with a friend, neighbor or loved ones can lead to trust because it spreads some joy. As months go by, theres a connection that starts to build up the trust since they have spent their time to plan events just for that person. There are unlimited ways to be kind to others such as sending a card, making a phone or even saying hi to someone are the small acts of kindness. Those are kindness because it shows someone actually cares even if it was small. Kindness can simple or big gestures depending on the person.
