With that being known, there have been rumors floating around about a possible reunion with former Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson in free agency as he would provide them a deep threat on the outside.
However, when free agency kicks off on March 9, the Eagles plan to target another speedy wide receiver to help remedy their problems. According to Eliot Shorr-Parks, the Eagles are expected to make a push for Miami Dolphins
wide receiver Kenny Stills.
Stills, who is 24-years old, had a breakout this season with Miami, helping them make the playoffs. Stills played on the other side of Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry and made defenses pay on a consistent basis.
This season, Stills had 42 receptions on 81 targets for 726 yards and nine touchdowns. He also averaged 17.3 yards per catch.
The Dolphins will have up to March 7 to re-sign Stills to a new deal, which is one of their priorities before free agency begins, according to general manager Chris Grier.
“It’s important for us to bring him back,” Grier said to the Miami Herald. “We’d like to have him back. It’s his right to test the market and see what he can get, but we’d like to have him back.”
If the Eagles want to sign Stills, they will have to make some salary cap decisions beforehand as they currently have under $8 million.
However, he is worth price of admission as he is younger than Jackson and can the Eagles something they've lacked for the last few seasons.
