SULYAP SA BAYAN NI JUAN
(REFLECTION PAPER)
Sulyap sa bayan ni juan is all about history of the Philippines, Every Year level or every section was acted very well. In the first scene, I think they delivered it very well, but in my case or in my position I don’t really understand because some characters don’t delivered they’re lines. But I really appreciated they have done. They do it very well they performed successes. Every character had own talent. The dances they had done, it is very creative and some dancers make the audience laugh and that’s one of the best things.
The second performers or the second scene was so funny, not really on that. The character of Juan, that I think the lead character, he’s the one who was funny. The way he acted. Then the script was good, like in my first comment in the first scene, they delivered it very well. But in some cases I can’t understand they lines, unlike in the first scene, they delivered it although some of their characters had a low voices. In the dances, the dancers were good. They dance very well even the space was too small. I love they’re costumes.
In overall performance, like I said, they delivered it very well. All characters do their best to make their audience not to bore and to have students learned in what they act. The last dancers, were so very good and excellent, they dance very well and they look serious in what they doing. They are also in one dance, they are uniformed. They practice their dance very well.

I was very impressed with the acrobatics and choreography which showed great dedication on the company’s part. With my experience in Avenue Q, I know how much time and work it takes to even learn and perfect a simple dance, so I would really like to appreciate and recognize the dedication and hard work of the actors and choreography of the company. I think those elements must have been a big part of the director’s vision and that the director must…

I personally enjoyed this because I could understand their own individual intention for the performance a little more. After reading the piece of poetry the performers entered the stage in different costumes. The females were wearing long ruffled dresses and the males were wearing pants and a shirt that wrapped around the waist. The movement quality for this piece was heavily influenced by the ruffles on the dress. There were angulations of the spine, punching with their fist, jumping, large kicks, and walking with a twist of the right foot.…

Pseudo-questions: Asking a question based on a false premise. "Why does the Obama administration want to punish poor people?" A political pundit might ask this question about the proposed health care plan in which Americans will be required to buy insurance. Equivocation: Relying on two meanings of a word to make your point; changing the meaning partway through the argument. "I'm not prejudiced. Some of my best friends are black." This argument takes advantage of different meanings of the word "prejudiced". On the one hand, it can mean actively or knowingly disliking people of a particular race or ethnic group. But on the other hand, it can also mean having under-the-surface, unconscious stereotypes. Most people probably have the second kind of "prejudice", even if it's subconscious. Ad hominem: attacking the person instead of the issue; name-calling. "Arnold Schwarzenegger is a muscle-bound lunkhead who doesn't know what's best for this state." This would be a personal attack on an individual that doesn't at all address any kinds of arguments or issues. Mere assertion: Stating something but not giving any reason for it. "God doesn't exist." The most common atheist "argument" is no argument at all but simply a statement of fact. Of course, in the case of atheism, atheists are arguing from negative evidence, which is much harder than simply making the assertion. Circular reasoning: Using the premise itself, or something that follows from the premise, in order to prove the premise. "I know God exists because the Bible says so and the Bible is the word of God." This argument is circular; in fact, nothing in the Bible can be said to "prove" the existence of God. Red herring: Changing the subject. Bringing up irrelevant information instead of addressing the relevant points. "The drinking age should be lowered to 18 because 18 year olds are old enough to die for…

Phillis Wheatly, is remembered as the first issued African American poet. She was born in Senegal in 1753, and at age eight was kidnapped and brought to Boston by slave traders. In Boston, she was sold to John and Susannah Wheatley. Educated and taught by Susannah Wheatley, Phillis Wheatley published her first poem in 1770, at age 17. Wheatley went on to publish many poems, generally dealing with religion, a popular theme of that day. She published many of them.…

The directing for the all the four acts are just marvelous. The entrance and exits of the actors are appropriate enough, the transitions between acts are smooth enough and sometimes it is unnoticeable. Their hours of hard work and nonstop practicing are well paid off because their acting really touched the audience. Thumbs up for the director especially the director of “Little Girl Lost” because he directed the play very well, the actors synchronize among each other and he really made me cry a bit because I get to feel how worried the mother is when she lost her child in the supermarket but it would be nice if they add another actor for the child role so that the ending would be more realistic. I must say it looked…

I enjoyed following Aran and Joan in the movie because they both had many qualities as people that I found interesting. I like Aran because he was a very nice and cute kid who moved very gracefully for his age. He danced very maturely and even while watching the film, I had to question his age because he is fit and seems to know what he is doing. I thought he was funny because in the beginning he showed the camera many different tools that he uses to help stretch and practice and when he showed the tool that stretches his toes he told the camera “This one hurts a lot”. His relationship with Gaya was really sweet, all the way to the end where he had to help explain that she won third place at the ballet convention they attended. I also liked…

The Allegro part was very good. I found my self enjoying the most the beginnings and endings of the movements. It also sounded very happy, and bright. This one and Larghetto I enjoyed fully since it was the beginning of the concert. This was my first time attending an orchestral concert. I noticed how beautiful the music sounded and I began to appreciate it a lot more. I can admit that how great and enjoyable was, that I was in a bit of a shock. This was nothing compared to listening…

The acting possessed a subtlety that far surpassed what I expected for the age of the actors. For example, Prospero’s age was clearly demonstrated. Hanny acted with ample hand movements and a scratchy nurturing voice that elders tend to use more. She also kept her back tight as if possessing stiff joints. Caliban, the deformed servant, was incredibly acted in a way that clearly expressed that the actor was passionately enjoying his role. Daniel physically walked with his torso inches from the ground and winced in pain. His loud bellowing voice, his stuffed shirt, and the loud crash of the things he drops clearly demonstrates his strength as well.…
