In the time that Rizal was not yet born, the entire Philippines was still under the Spanish colonization, all the uprising of Filipinos against the oppression of the Spaniard did not prosper due to the advantage of Spanish weaponry in that time. Rizal's Life

Rizal's advocacy of institutional reforms by peaceful means rather than by violent revolution makes him Asia's first modern non-violent proponent of political reforms. Forerunner of Gandhi and contemporary of Tagore and Sun Yat Sen, all four created a new climate of thought throughout Asia, leading to the attrition of colonialism and the emergence of new Asiatic nations by the end of World War II. Rizal's appearance on the scene came at a time when European colonial power had been growing and spreading, mostly motivated by trade, some for the purpose of bringing Western forms of government and education to peoples regarded as backward. Coinciding with the appearance of those other leaders, Rizal from an early age had been enunciating in poems, tracts and plays, ideas all his own of modern nationhood as a practical possibility in Asia. In the Nolihe stated that if European civilization had nothing better to offer, colonialism in Asia was doomed.[36] Such was recognized by Gandhi who regarded him as a forerunner in the cause of freedom. Jawaharlal Nehru, in his prison letters to his daughter Indira, acknowledged Rizal's significant contributions in the Asian freedom movement. These leaders regarded these contributions as keystones and acknowledged Rizal's role in the movement as foundation layer.…

In comparing the life of our two great Filipinos, one can clearly see the differences in their background. Rizal was talented, but moreover, blessed to be born into a good family who can afford to send him to prestigious schools. Bonifacio, on the other hand, was born into a poor family. One can clearly point out that the reason for the different courses of action taken by the two are very well linked with their backgrounds. Rizal is the Idealist, wherein he used his intellect in making known his feelings. Through his writings, he was able to define what he saw wrong. Switching sides, Bonifacio, although intelligent himself, resorted to physical warfare as the means of making his beliefs known to the public. No matter how much we want to identify which of the two men was better, there’s no point in doing so. They may be similar in their goals, but their ways were different.…

Our group research entitled “Phytoextraction Potential of Rose Moss Plant (Portulacagrandiflora) on Lead-Contaminated Soil in Different Soil Treatments” particularly studied the plants capability in extracting the heavy metal Lead (Pb) from contaminated soils collected by the river banks of the Marilao River in Bulacan. Prior to experimentation, we tested for the initial Pb content of the soil and found that there is a high level of Pb in the soil which is not surprising for the collection site is near a car battery smelter. In the experimentation proper, we used the plant and different soil amendments/treatments to assists on phytoextraction. Final tests showed that biomass promoting treatments increases the plant’s phytoextraction capability. Our findings proved that the Rose Moss can now add up to the…
