Phoenix Lights: Extraterrestrial Sighting
On March 13, 1997, an event known as the Phoenix Lights, strongly suggests an extraterrestrial sighting. Residence of Phoenix, Arizona were gathering that March evening to witness the passing of the Hale-Bop comet when they witnessed what appeared to be a row of lights in a triangular shape in the sky. This perfectly triangular shaped spacecraft was seen by thousands in and around the Phoenix basin. Witnesses claimed that the spacecraft was so large that it blocked out the stars and was surprisingly silent. Of the many witnesses of the Phoenix Lights was Arizona Governor Fife Symington. Symington first joked about the incident and supported the military’s explanation for the perfectly aligned lights in the sky for being flares. Once he was
no longer in office, Symington admitted to never believing the military’s explanation for the lights in the sky. Although Symington’s acknowledgment of the incident would have been more helpful at the time of the event, he is still considered a credible eyewitness because if a governor in the U.S. could admit to seeing something extraterrestrial, then there must be some truth to it. The military’s explanation is harder to believe because it is in their nature to cover up the unexplainable.
