Being a photographer is a career I have been interested in for a long time. I am interested in the art and the creativity of it all. Photography is fun and enjoyable. It allows the photographer to capture memories of family and friends. I like the idea of traveling to different places and taking photos for people. Meeting new people and seeing new things is a very good benefit that comes with photography. There will be some challenges concerning how to get a job in this career such as budget. However, I am still very interested in this career.

Seeing new things and meeting new people are great features that come with photography. The photographer gets too make new friends and create new memories for his/herself. Photographers have artistic interests, and realistic interests (“Interests and Values” 1). Photography gives the photography artistic freedom.
Some of the negative aspects that come with being a photographer would be doing everything alone. There is no teamwork for certain types of photography. Photography has become more competitive over the years. A lot of the equipment required for photographers costs a lot of money and can be very expensive. Sometimes there are strict deadlines for the work to be done, and if it is not finished then there is a chance of dealing with angry or disappointed clients. However, depending on if you are a self-employed photographer, it can be difficult to find a job in this career field. I think I have a good understanding of photography. I also think I have a good imagination and I am responsible which are traits that a good photographer needs to get their work done. The annual openings for this occupation in the United States is 2,030 (“Employment and Outlook” 1).
The growth of photography will continue to grow slower than average (“At a Glance” 1). The growth of photography is slow because many people can take their own photographs. Depending on the type of photography some of the employment is higher than others. There are more opportunities for people who take pictures for magazines or newspapers. The employment for the United States is large with 136,300 (“Employment and Outlook” 1). Over the years there has been a lot of new technology that as been coming out.
