Pre‐reading activity: With the wedding at the end of Act II, the couple seems to have a good chance at happiness. Predict what you think will happen in Act III.
During reading activity: A. As you read the play, create a timeline of the events of Act III. Use the line to show all five scenes. B. After reading each scene, use the Act III Summarizing Chart to give a plot summary for each one.
C. Pretend you are Romeo and send a “text message” to Juliet explaining you’ve just killed her cousin. You may choose to use words like “L8R” for “later.”
