Physical education class instruction should be designed for all students. I believe that every skill, activity, and game should be taught with the non-athlete in mind. Sometimes those students get pushed to the back because they are not the most talented. My philosophy of physical education deals with students becoming physically fit. The major reason for having physical education in schools is to lead the students toward better lifestyles. The plan as a physical educator is to have students physically in shape, by their exit of high school. This takes work but it can be done. A good activity that could be introduced in physical education programs is a ropes course. Rope courses are great for students to get into the teamwork mentality. This could help students be dependable on each other and trust each other. Education is not only a necessity, but a major part of life. Educators need to make students realize that they are accomplishing something every time a fact is embedded in their head. A good way of letting children know they are learning is by positive feedback. Positive feedback can work wonders with struggling students, as well as achieving students. If teachers made an effort to make their classes as enjoyable as possible for learning, students may eventually love attending physical education classes. Every student has the ability to learn. Some students learn at a more rapid pace than others. The job as a physical educator is to bring out the best in each student. Physical education teachers need to know where every student stands on their ability to learn. Each student has his/her on preference as to what he/she wants to learn. We need to introduce more activities that females like to do such as: dance, aerobics, and gymnastics. Gymnastics was once a big part of physical education, but has since diminished. Rollerblading could also be a good sport for both sexes and good also fit in as

    Physical educational professionals should be demonstrating and a model of what they teach. Physical educators should value wellness and fitness and continue to do so throughout their respected careers. One professor suggests that the lack of skill and in depth activity content knowledge is a major problem in (PETE) programs and for the future of the physical education profession. There are two major factors that can be credited to this dilemma. The first factor is being an increase emphasis in major curriculums on classroom oriented theory and models at the expense of quality activity and the second factor is the lack of both tactile expertise and skills in many teachers.     When designing the program the children will follow, you must keep in mind that not every child will be a star athlete. Gym class should not be a place to make others feel bad about their athleticism, it should a time where children can have fun and be active.     On the face of it, many may see these as physical outcomes, however, many authors and researchers have published work over the last 25 years identifying that Physical Education is diverse in that it has been identified to have outcomes associated with social, moral and lifelong development as well as Physical development (Sallis and Mckenzie, 1991; 2012; Miller et al., 1997; Lawson, 1999; Moore, 2002; Kay, 2003; Doll Tepper, 2005; Fairclough and Stratton, 2005). This combination of outcomes associated with just one subject area makes Physical Education unique in its contribution to lifelong learning and participation in physical activity (Whitehead, 2013). This vast array of outcomes suggests that the potential to ‘achieve and excel’ in Physical Education is not so black and white, but rather a subject with many shades. McKenzie, Sallis, & Rosengard (2009) found that evidence based programs aimed at implementing health oriented physical education lessons and developing practitioners resulted in improvements in “fitness, sports skills, academic achievement and teaching quality”. Through inclusive and personalised learning can practitioners begin to ensure that ‘all pupils can achieve and excel’ in physical education, effective and proven strategies such as Differentiation (Vickerman, 2004) or through the use of different teaching styles such as Mosston and Ashworth’s (1986) spectrum of teaching styles, can provide examples…
