Re: CB Field Asset Review Well Exercise
I have now posted nine “CB Field Asset Review Well” data packages on the “Course Documents” page of the PTE-461 website. You and your team will work on the well drawn, following the second hour exam.
Each data package is identified on the data package folder title. Each data package contains:
1.
LAS format log data file(s)
2.
Wireline/LWD Log Header and Footer images
3.
Directional Survey Summary Reports (deviated wells only)
4.
Formation top data files.
5.
TVD control files.
I conducted the initial Field –wide FE Review of the wells in this field when it was being considered for
Peripheral Water Flood, to restore reservoir pressure. By then, the field had been on production for about 20 years.
Some of the wells, in the current group may have been drilled relatively recently.
The above data packages contain information similar to what you might have available for wells in a field being reviewed for acquisition, disposal, or abandonment. The big difference between your situation and the real world is that you will have until 17.12.13 in which to complete your Formation Evaluation (FE), while you would be lucky to have one-two days/well, in the real world.
All six of these wells were drilled on the same structure (“field”) during
