Imagine having commonly preferred foods as Momo or any other stick foods at your favorite place and the restaurant runs out of pickles. How incomplete would your dish look! Or you are too lazy to cook something interesting and yet want to spice your bland plate. This is where pickles play their parts.
Pickles are those magical recipes that not just extend a food’s life but also surprisingly flavors up anything you are eating. Get some seasonings and they can be prepared from any veggies present in your kitchen. So this week, we have brought you few interesting pickling recipes from which you cannot resist putting your fingers on.
Picked Grapes
Ingredients
- 1 Kilogram of red or black grapes
-3 cups of red wine vinegar
- Sugar, salt and chili powder (as per taste)
-1 tablespoon of yellow mustard seeds and black peppercorn each
-1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- Few cloves, bay leaves and cinnamon sticks

Begin with washing and steaming grapes. Using a sharp knife to cut off the upper part of the grapes, right where the steam meets. Then store prepared grapes into a clean quarts jars. Meanwhile, take a pan and heat vinegar and add all other remaining ingredients over medium heat for ten minutes. You need to stir occasionally to make sure sugar has fully dissolved. Now, pour this hot mixture of spices into the grape-filled container. Mix them properly. Push bay leaves and cinnamon stick into the jar so they don’t float on top. Set aside, uncovered to let it cool down for an hour. Store it in the fridge overnight. This will help to extract more flavors. The pickle will last only for five to six
