The people of the Middle Ages was dominated by Christianity that was the only recognized religion at that time. The Renaissance, in the city-state of Italy, began in the late fourteenth century. The Renaissance means rebirth and it was a starting point of the modern era. During the Renaissance, it was made humanism by having opportunity to learn the classical learning and values of ancient Greece and Rome. People changed in the basic way of thinking about things by studied the writings and works of the Greeks and the Romans.
