Pine Lake Challenge Research Paper

With just two students left to get on, the balance board rises and falls slowly, as those two people creep onto the board, making sure it does not make any contact with the ground. Then the whole group cheers, as they have just completed the challenge in record breaking time. This explains the “whale watch” challenge at the Pine Lake Challenge Course which is where the eighth graders from Corpus Christi School had just visited. Pine Lake Challenge Course is an adventurous, outdoor activity center in which to complete the task at hand, it is necessary to work with and cooperate with the other ten students in the proximity. My expectations of the day were not met because of a certain, few people. At the beginning of the day I was expecting a little more diverse. Since the name of the challenge course was Pine Lake
The concept of it was there were about six tires on a pole, with three poles. Our group had to move the tires onto a different pole from largest to smallest, without putting a bigger tire on a smaller tire, and without having more than one tire off a pole at once. When my group and I attempted this challenge, we didn’t really plan ahead at all. Looking back, if the eighth grade was able to go to Pine Lake Challenge Course again, I would not want the same group. Some people were fine, but others just didn’t stop talking. I would wish to attempt the tire challenge again, and try to beat it in the amount of moves Zach gave us. The trip to Pine Lake Challenge Course did not change me. One of the things I did learn though, is that to get a job done with a group of people, some of them will just slow me down. As a class, this field trip will show who’s mature, who’s not mature, and how we react working with others. One of the other things I realized is what kind of person I want to be when I grow older.
