While both articles discussed pit bulls, the authors’ biases were completely
different. In the first article the bias is a negative one, mainly talking about how, “Pit bulls make up only 6% of the dog population, but they’re responsible for 68% of dog attacks and 52% of dog-related deaths.” It also discusses how the pit bull population should be controlled and reduced due to the danger risk. On the other hand though, the second article has a mainly positive bias towards pit bulls. Even stating, “they can be awesome pets for the smart owner.” This is different compared to the first articles author’s bias against the dogs.
Overall, both articles have their arguments on the pit bull breed, but it’s up to you to decide your feelings on the matter. Whether more unfavorable as seen in the first article, or more favorable as seen in the second article.
