Planarians Research Paper

Planarians are nonparasitic, they are marine and are usually found in freshwater streams, ponds, ocean, and any moist environment. They usually hide under rocks and debris, while they feed on protists, roundworms and insects. The head is composed of eyes and auricles, the eyes can respond to light while the auricles are used for smell. The nervous system is made up of a brain and 2 nerve cords that run all over the body to the back of the planarian. It has no circulatory or respiratory system, therefor oxygen that goes in scatters through the body wall. They are able to move in a gliding motion thanks to the cilia they have. Planarians are hermaphroditic, however, they are not able to produce their own eggs, they need the help of another planarian
