Plastic Surgery Monologue
Barry Benson, a small bee, sits on the shoulder of his human lover. “Vanessa?”
“Yes Barry?” she answers, reaching for a glass of wine
“There’s something we need to talk about.” Vanessa could tell from his tone that this was serious. She sets down her glass of wine, and holds out her finger for Barry to fly onto. Finally eye to eye, he speaks. “These last three months have been…” he is cut off by Vanessa “Magical?” “Yes...I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been to know you. But..here’s the thing” “What is it, Barry. You can tell me. Is there another bee you’re seeing?” “No, no, I would never. I love you Vanessa, but that’s just it. I’m a bee. I don’t live as long as you humans do. Vanessa - I’m dying.” Vanessa gasps, putting her hand to her

I don’t want my last days to be sad. I want them to be something you remember forever. I want...you.” “Barry?” Vanessa was no stranger to bee anatomy - after mating, a bee’s endophallus snaps off, and he dies shortly after. This is why they had never even discussed the idea of being together in that way. “Vanessa, please. I’m already going to die, I’d be lucky if I see the end of this week. I want to...what’s the human saying? Go out with a bang?” Vanessa thought for a moment, eyes …show more content…
I’m ready for you” Vanessa calls from her bedroom. Barry flies from his perch on the window, and is stopped in his tracks by his woman’s beauty. Laying on the bed, surrounded by rose petals, Vanessa wears only a pink, silken bathrobe. “Wow” is all Barry can say. “Are you sure you want to do this, honey?” asks Vanessa “Of course.” Barry replies “You look so beautiful.” She blushes, beckoning him closer with a finger. He lands on her shaking bosom as she tears open the bathrobe, revealing her areolas, pink as hydrangeas. Barry gets to work, licking and sucking her stiffening nipples. With two fingers, she removes his sweater, and with a fingertip massages his crotch gently. “Oh, Barry” she moans, leaning back “I love you so much.” Barry says nothing, as his mouth is full of nipple. Barry flies up, meeting Vanessa’s face, his endophallus at full attention. “Is that....big for a bee?” Barry looks down, shrugging.
“I’ve gotten no complaints.” Opening her mouth and sticking out her tongue, Vanessa says “Barry, I want to taste you!” Needing no further convincing, Barry flies forward, landing on her tongue, thrusting his beenis against her

She reminded me that the world was really one big bee yard, and the same rules work fine in both places. Don’t be afraid, as no life-loving bee wants to sting you. Still, don’t be an idiot; wear long sleeves and pants. Don’t swat. Don’t even think about swatting. If you feel angry, whistle. Anger agitates while whistling melts a bee’s temper. Act like you know what you’re doing, even if you don’t. Above all, send the bees love, every little thing wants to be loved.” August explains to Lily that bees have a secret life, and people fail to realize how difficult their life really is. Lily realizes how a bee and her are so much alike. When bees do not have a queen they cannot function. Like Lily who greatly misses her mother, little did she know you can introduce a new queen to the hive. Lily’s new ‘queens’ were the Boatright sisters and Rosaleen. She found people who could properly love her, the bees showed Lily how adjusting to a different environment can greatly impact her life for the better.…

Bees are weird animals. They know how to count to four based on a experiment done at the University of Queensland; they communicate with one another through dancing and pheromones; their fat bodies make them one of the least aerodynamic creatures that have ever left the ground; they can carry one hundred and twenty two times their body weight; and have personalities that have been characterized as anything from “thrill-seekers” to “pessimistic”1,2. The oddest thing about bees is their mysterious disappearances due to Colony Collapse Disorder, a condition where many adult bees never return to the hive.…
