Plot Holes In Beauty And The Beast
Beauty and The Beast is one of the most beloved movies of all time, but with so many people watching it you are bound to find mistakes and plot holes. The 1991 animated Beauty and The Beast is known for having quite a few plot holes, but thankfully the new 2017 live action film has answered most of our questions about the movie. Have you ever had questions while watching Beauty and The Beast like “ Where are Beast’s parents?””How old is the prince once the spell is broken?”, and “ If Belle is the only one in the town that likes to read then why is there a huge bookstore?” Well today I will be answering all those questions. First, if you have seen Beauty and The Beast you know Belle loves to read and the villagers mock her for that. But …show more content…
Well in the animated version Belle’s mom is never mentioned and is nowhere to be seen, but in the live action film they show that Belle’s mom died from a plague. The reason Belle and her dad moved from their home town is so they wouldn’t get the plague, but they had to leave the mom behind. Third, what happened to Beast’s parents? Just like Belle the animated version totally ignores Beast’s parents. But surprisingly Beast’s mom dies similar to Belle’s mom with a plague of some sort. The reason Beast is so mean and cruel is because after his mom dies the dad acted mean, and that’s where Beast got his bad personality until Belle fixes is. So if Beast wasn’t raised with such a mean dad he probably would have never gotten cursed and met Bell .
Fourth, In the animated version no one in the village knows about the castle and no one really knows why considering its huge . With that being said, how did the villagers find the castle so fast when going to find beast. Bell’s dad already had been to the castle but still took him over 3 days to find it so how did the villagers do it in a super short time. All those questions get answered in the new live action version. The reason nobody knows about the castle is because the witch that cursed Beast also erased everyone's knowledge of the castle. On top of that in the new movie Gaston takes Bell magic mirror and it shows him how to get to the castle which makes a lot more sense than in the old animated

    By page 59, the fear of not knowing what would happen to them and if they would ever be rescued had grown to the point where the "little'uns" "suffered from untold terrors in the dark and they huddled together for comfort."     In the very beginning, the beast was something that only existed in the boys’ minds and practically only scared the littluns.
