Poem Analysis: Firework By Katy Perry

“Firework” by Katy Perry is about a friend that doesn’t get a lot of respect from others besides from Katy. She tells her show them what your worth, so she means stick up for yourself and to show them who you really are. In the first stanza, it says, “ Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?”, I take that as she is kind of on the edge of how you grew up or how other people are treating you. The theme was revealed already in the first stanza.
