point of life
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” If we waste our life worrying about and stressing over pointless things we have no control over, we miss out on the enjoyable part of life. We were put on this earth to live life to its greatest potential, therefore we must not waste a second of it. The line “You only live once, that’s the motto, YOLO” was sung by famous rapper, Drake. He was implying that you should do everything you want in life and live without any regrets. If you live with regret, you will not be happy. You only have one chance to live, one shot at life, so do it the right way. In life you are given chances to achieve dreams, and reach goals. My biggest dream is to become an astronaut, but that dream was crushed when NASA shut down. So I decided to work towards becoming a radio talk show host. My mom has always told me that I can talk about nothing for hours and that I have a loud voice. I also want to get married to Mike Moustakas, the third baseman for the Royals. Then I will become rich and finally purchase the pony I’ve always dreamed of owning.

Another point of life is to make a lot of money and spend it all. They say money doesn’t buy you happiness but what they do not tell you is that it can provide temporary joy. Why not make a ton of money and spend it on useless items? Numerous amounts of money allow me to travel the world, and provide for my family, giving back to my parents for all they have done for me.
I have always been taught to enjoy the little things in life, and that each moment is precious. Moments such as being with family and friends should not be wasted or misused. By saying “I wish it was Friday” or “Why can’t this day be over”, we tend to find ourselves wishing the time away, when we should be enjoying every second. We don’t know how long we have left with the people we love.

David Sze (July 7, 2015) posted a column in the Huffington Post entitled, “Money and Happiness? It’s Complicated.” As the title suggests, Sze discusses the link between having money and finding happiness, or “life satisfaction.” He approaches the issue from a post-modern perspective without considering any transcendent categories to evaluate the issue. Leaving a theistic perspective out, Sze struggles to find an adequate explanation for meaning, happiness and satisfaction in life.…

“It seems only natural that happiness should flow from having more money. Even if they don’t admit it, people still behave as though it were true. More money means you can have what you want and do what you want.” (Dean 2008). Wealth and possessions do not equal happiness because no matter how much money and gems you have you can not buy feelings, but only comfort, also if you are working hard for more money you are experiencing more stress and negative emotions.…

Graduating college, getting a job, getting married, buying a house and having kids. For most people these are joyous events that are celebrated with family and friends; and come with hard work. However some people have a different mindset towards life. They perform tasks for the mere sake of getting the job done and life almost seems like a check list. There is a difference between being alive and truly living. Being alive is fulfilling the responsibilities and duties that are required of you. Truly living is when you seize every moment and make the most of it. One appreciates the small pleasures in life and is satisfied with what he or she has. It is easy to go through life without realizing you are not enjoying it. We get so caught up in trying to be the best version of ourselves that we don’t stop and appreciate the small things that bring every day…

“This, I believe” Speech “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” -Eleanor Roosevelt. What Roosevelt is saying in this quote is that in order to live we need to experience, not just simply exist and especially not exist in fear. I believe that everyone should learn to live in the moment and not overthink but learn to value the ability to push limits.…

What is the meaning of life? The answer to this question has sought over since mankind became capable of exercising their brain capacity past a level of primal instinct. In general life is rather meaningless, we all simply exist together on this planet. But before one dwells on the pointlessness of human existence, they should think about the purpose of each individual person in our society. We create goals for ourselves; we all have a role to play in our society. In a sense, we choose our future and in doing so, give ourselves a purpose to live. The purpose of human existence in general may be absent, but in our society and through our goals and achievements, I believe each individual creates their own purpose.…

This quote can shake individuals' souls who are wasting their life doing something worthless, such as being a couch potato. Albert Camus, French Nobel Prize-winning author, journalist, and philosopher, said this: “You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.” The Merriam-Webster Dictionary simply states that life is the ability to grow and change, it separates plants and animals from things like water or rocks. Life is so much more than that. The question is, how can we each live the best life, a life that makes everyone happy and proud? A life worth living consists of love, focus, and a will to move forward. And it is now my turn to go on that journey.…

A famous quote from Ernest Hemingway, "Live life to the fullest." I choose to live by this saying cause you never know if you will make it to face tomorrow. I have seen so many people die without even knowing something is wrong. I have learned to live my life without looking back. I dont want to dwell on the past, when I'm able to look forward to the future. We only have one chance to live life. Life is the most precious thing anyone has. I try my best to do everything so I never have anything to regret. I know one day I will die, but I don't want it to be without me living first. I don't want to live safe cause then that means no fun at all. Cliff jumping, sky diving, and bungey jumping are all very dangerous to do, but so much fun as well. Ernest Hemingway said it best. As days come and go life will get shorter. The shorter life gets the closer to death your are. Watching my family and friends die woke me up reminding me it would be my time soon. Why waste time when it is limited? People spend time worrying about what otgher people think when they should just be living. Life is the best thing to ever ask for. The song "Live Like You are Dying" sums up everything that I believe in. Life isn't worth wasting. Life comes with risks that you must take. Life comes and goes just as quickly. My life just started 18 years ago but it could end tomorrow. You won't see me dwelling on that thought. So many people don't see the big picture of life, they just focus on the small ones. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest each and every day of your life. Don't ever let anyone to tell you to stop living to the fullest. Life will give you challenges, but you can always get through them it just might be a little difficult. The best phrase ever, "Live life to the fullest." I will always follow that saying until the day that I do die.…

“The search of the purpose of life has been puzzled people for thousands of years. That’s because we typically begin at the wrong starting point—ourselves. We ask self-centered questions like, what do I want to be? What should I do with my life? What are my goals, my ambitions, and my dreams for my future? But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life’s purpose.”—Rick Warren…
