Pokemon Go Argumentative Essay
It was only a few weeks back, when my parents and I were on the couch watching the news, when all of a sudden something odd had showed. Though it might not seem a big surprise, with Pokémon Go and its huge release of course it was going to be shown on the news. But it wasn’t as I expected. It was more controversial as I expected. A 19 and 16-year-old were shot at while playing Pokémon Go. Now that’s not how I want to be playing a game.

All over the world games are being constantly released for the entertainment of others. One of these games includes Pokémon Go. Pokémon Go has been a huge hit all over the world with countries all over the world trying to get their hands on the game. Most see the game as a good opportunity to get people outside

With the amount of criminals out there the last think I want to do is go and roam the streets at midnight. It’s quite ridiculous if you are that desperate to catch Pokémon to go out in the middle of the night.
There are hundreds of more incidents that have been recorded but don’t seem to stop people from playing the game. If I were you I’d stop playing the game altogether as it’s just a waste of time and gets in the way of everything that needs to be done. Though it’s getting people outside while playing a Pokémon game on their phone, if they were to release another Pokémon game on phones it would probably get the same amount of popularity.
With all of these incidences, you’d think the game wouldn’t be played as much, but instead people are still going out, at midnight just so they can catch Pokémon, Is it really necessary? Do people really need to go outside during the night, just so they can catch Pokémon? I wouldn’t think so.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t think this is the ideal way of being able to play a great game. With the amount of criminals out there do you really want to risk your life, just for a virtual animal? Pokémon is GOING way too

In conclusion, I believe that, like everything, Pokemon Go has positive and negative aspects, and that its effects are heavily influenced by the person's use. Meaning that while it can be an application that encourages exploration, physical activity and the apprecitation for nature, it can also reduce our attention spans and make us prioritze our game, instead of human contact, or the appreciation of…

A review of Zofloya from the Literary Journal in 1806 states that people perceived Satan as a scapegoat and ‘they might safely lighten the burden of their sins by placing the better part of them on his shoulders’ (Craciun 264). Hence, using Satan as a scapegoat gave people the leeway of continuing to act out their innermost desires; accordingly, this is a theme found in Zofloya. The gothic villain as a scapegoat caused the closet-criminal protagonist to be the recipient of pity. Readers felt bad for the main character because they are being provoked by Satan. This can invoke fear of losing control, but also eases the worry of being malicious before the devil became involved. However, this contradicts the earlier argument that evil already resides…

Pokemon Go is the latest craze that is sweeping the nation, but what impact has this virtual game had on the real world? Many stores including GameStop, RadioShack and Sprint Corp have reported a surge in portable charging devices, according to Time’s online article “Phone Charger Sales Are Surging Because of Pokemon Go”. Stores have even begun to set up lemonade stands at nearby poke stops to help drive up business. Even though Pokemon Go is a virtual game it has greatly increased the business in real life stores. Clearly Pokemon Go has had a big impact on the world around us.…

For instance, the city of North Richland Hills maintains a law ordering that a man less than 17 years old years old must not be out amid the hours of 11:00 pm to 6:00 a.m, Monday through Thursday. Numerous different urban communities are considering doing in like manner. I strongly agree with this approach for a few reasons.…

A curfew would create a safer life for teenagers who may fail to realize the risk of being outside at night. Most people know the consequences of becoming tired. Being sleep deprived leads to irrational decisions and loss of motor skills. Allowing teenagers to stay out later would increase the risk of poor decisions being made. These decisions could include illegal behavior but also poor social decisions like saying something you wish you could take back. Drowsiness while driving could prove fatal for a teenage driver and any surrounding people due to decreased reaction time. This also does not only effect teenagers when they are driving but also when they are a pedestrian. It has been proven that driving while tired is just as bad as driving intoxicated. Being out later only increases the risks of being in an automobile accident for young drivers or pedestrians. The additional issue of teenage drivers and pedestrians being out at night is visibility. For young drivers, their inexperience and delayed reaction time is only more greatly hindered when it is dark outside. The inability to see pedestrians and large animals, such as deer, in time will be much higher if no curfew is enforced. This could pose a safety threat to the driver as well as people…

If a person is seen getting robbed, beaten, or stabbed in broad daylight, then the police will surely get called. Now on the flip side if a person is robbed, beaten, or stabbed in the middle of the night, then people are not going to know about it right away. Daylight saving time comes into the equation because it is light for longer hours in a day. As noted by Source C, “The DOT [Department of Transportation] study found that violent crime…was reduced by 10 to 13 percent during periods of daylight saving time.” Criminals fear committing crimes in broad daylight for various reasons like getting caught or getting identified. People often tend to feel better in daylight versus nighttime because who honestly wants to go down a dark alley in the middle of the night. Because of these…

As mentioned above, politicians are not the only ones, who are blaming video games as a cause of every crime and abnormal behavior of people. After shootings at schools in many places throughout America, political intervention accelerates newspapers and news immediately to respond to those incidents by blaming the use of video games. Famous newspapers such as New York Times, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, are making headlines, in which they are accusing “Days of Doom” of the shooting. Media created fear among people, who tend to connect negative sides of media to major issues.…

I think Pokemon Go is affecting so many people. For example how now people are put to cell phone chargers in their store so they can take advantage of people so they could buy their products while they charge their phones. More often you will be seeing people wasting their battery because of playing games, and the game that is discharging the phone faster would be Pokemon Go, so people will surely take advantage og them so people could buy products from their stores. They are drawing gamers into their stores with free charging stations which I think isn't bad it's pretty good because, they would get more people going to their business and buying their products.…

Introduction: According to certain people, violent video games should be banned; they feel that they are the reason of today’s violence amongst children. But I strongly disagree with them. Like movies, music and any other form of art, video games are there to entertain people and enjoy, not confine. What most people fail to realize today, is that the video game industry, similar to the film industry, is well controlled with a strict code of parental guidelines already in place. Just because video games show violence does not mean they should be banned. Video games bring many benefits such as: increasing self-esteem, reducing pain, encouraging teamwork and it’s beneficial to the economy.…

People will look for anyway to advance in this world, but it is quite discouraging that our cell phones are being targeted, things are getting very personal. Consumers purchase new technology like smart phones and buy applications; most of them fail to realize the risk they put themselves in. Majority of the consumers do not know how the technology operates, they just know what it does for them. People must come to realization that hackers exist and their main priority goal is to steal from them. In general, with new technology being created and distributed to consumers we have to be more careful and mindful when utilizing such features. Hopefully the companies can get a hold of these “viral” apps because at this point, we really do not need one more attempt to invade our privacy.…

Have you ever had that feeling that it’s difficult to put down a phone after you pick it up? More and more people feel the same way as technology becomes more advanced. In 2012, a study showed that 1 in 4 people pick up their phone every thirty minutes, while 1 in 5 people check their phone every ten minutes. There are also games out there, like Candy Crush or Clash of Clans, that could make people wait on their phones for long periods of time.
