Last summer, the new app Pokemon Go took the world by storm. Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game which requires people to go outside and walk around. This has greatly encouraged Pokemon fans to get outside, explore the world, and catch ‘em all. Pokemon Go also encourages players to become more aware of their surroundings, or be a cheater like me and play while my parents are driving. As a result of being outside, people can become more aware of wildlife in their communities. They may discover real animals that serve as models for what Pokemon were based on. A lot of Pokemon show an amazing resemblance to real animals. Heracross is near-equivalent to a Dung Beetle. Dung Beetles have a head, thorax, abdomen, and six.
