As mentioned before, polar bears’ fur is translucent (almost see through). Even though polar bears’ fur is translucent, it appears white because it easily reflects light. Their fur looks so many colors because the sun stains the fur making it yellowish or brown. Polar bears’ fur is not only interesting for being translucent, but polar bears fur can repel water or is waterproof, because of natural oils in the fur (seaworld).
