Colin Kaepernick quoted, "I've been very clear from the beginning that I'm against systematic oppression," "Police violence is just one of the symptoms of that oppression. For me, that is something that needs to be addressed, but it's not the whole issue," (Willingham). This explains that Police violence is one of many factors why these NFL players are kneeling during the National Anthem. To summarize, Police Brutality may not be the number one reason why the football players are protesting but still affects the culture in the United States of America.
