Mitt Romney introduced a campaign website and homepage when he accepted the republican bid earlier in 2012. Previously, his campaign website had been more propaganda and not as much in depth with his plans, but mittromney.com was designed to not only inform people, but be the center for this campaign. Since our culture is now so reliable on technology, a new pressure is put on social media. Aside from the yard signs that are passed daily throughout the city streets, Mitt Romney’s website homepage is the most influential visual image in the campaign. The visual appeal, organization, and wording of phrases all determine whether the website is pursued, or the screen is exited.
As a presidential candidate, Governor Romney needs a precise message that he is the best option for President of the United States. The website needs to be designed for someone who has no idea who Mitt Romney is or what he stands for, because the impact of the website could determine whether or not Romney wins their vote.
