The issue I chose is beach pollution. This issue affects my south Florida community because we love the beach and the beaches are polluted. There is nothing positive about beach pollution. It harms innocent sea life as well as veers people away from the beautiful beaches.
1. What do members of your family and community say about the issue?
My family and community are against beach pollution. They say that Loggerhead Turtles will not lay their eggs on polluted beaches, meaning it affects sea life. Also, that beach pollution is disgusting and it needs cleaned up.

This issue affects households and local residents negatively because families from households don’t go to the beach due to the fact they are filled with pollution. It affects local residents the same negative way. No one wants to go to the beach when it is polluted. It also negatively affects local resident’s because tourists won’t come to our beaches being that they are polluted. This issue affects households positively because if they are not out in the sun all the time, they are less likely to get skin cancer. This issue affects local resident’s positively because the less tourism, the less traffic.

This issue affects area businesses because polluted beaches cause less tourists, meaning that there is less business for local businesses. Some businesses rely on the tourism to stay open because their local customers aren’t enough. There
