Land pollution is a major problem which is increasing day by day. In my opinion, the main problem on land is litter on the streets. Fortunately, there are a number of possible solutions which could lead to a permanent reduction in the waste. One way would be to educate people to stop throwing litter on the streets and encourage people to recycle their waste products. In fact, this problem can be solved by teaching children to dispose of rubbish in the bin, showing them kinds of rubbish that can be recycled and fining people who throw rubbish in public areas. As a result, children do not throw rubbish in the wrong places and all discarded products such as paper, water bottle and aluminum can be recycled and used to make other products.
On the other hand, air pollution is also a serious problem that many countries have to deal with. People need to think about the way to stop the spreading of toxic smoke to the surrounding environment. Actually, toxic fumes are caused by many industrial processes. It has been suggested that one way of helping to reduce dioxide and nitrous oxides is to stop burning coal in power stations to generate electricity. Therefore, people would live in healthier surroundings with no toxic smokes or gases.
Obviously, water is very important to people. Unfortunately, there are many contaminated rivers. The main reason that is these rivers are contaminated because the factories dispose of the dirty water into rivers. Perhaps the most helpful thing that the factories can do to tackle these difficulties is to clean the water before they discharge it into the rivers. As a consequence, there would be no dirty water that caused diseases.
To sum up, there are many solutions to the problem of global pollution. The more of these solutions that are implemented, the more significant the reduction in global pollution will be.

Pollution is a world-wide spread problem that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. Water pollution is a big worry considering that water is essential to all living and nonliving things. As Adrian Armstrong (2006) says in his article Ethical issues in water use and sustainability, “...water is valuable, because we need it, and so we protect it in so far as it benefits us” (p. 10) The main problems of water pollution is the water quality and sustainability of it; The longer we allow our water to become polluted, the less supply of drinking water we have. Much of our water supply is not drinkable or usable for irrigation purposes due to pollution; Not only is this the case, but the water that is actually useable, is being used as if there is an endless supply of it. It is our responsibility as the habitants of this earth to treat it withe respect. Some people may not realize the havoc that is being done by their actions, and nonliving things cannot help the pollution that is released, but we need to come up with a solution, otherwise we will have no water in the future for anything; bathing, drinking, irrigation, recreational activities, etc. Let’s see what factors contribute to water pollution, and who is affected by the problem.…

Another way to eradicate the problem of water pollution is to reduce air and land pollution. Everyone knows that water pollution very often is caused by air contamination, because water moves through the air. Besides, when the soil is denudated it adds silt as a pollutant. Today people begin understanding that the pollution of coastal areas poses a threat to human health. Because tap water supplies are taken from reservoirs and ground waters, the quality of which leaves much to be desired. Even despite water purification, many of the contaminants in rivers are found in drinking water. That is why instead if purification it is better to stop water pollution at all and as a consequence different health risks caused by poisoned water would be reduced.…

Every day people suffer from the harsh effects of pollution: babies, toddlers, even the elderly, but why? Pollution poses an extensive threat to the health of people worldwide. In fact, approximately 100 million people have been afflicted by pollution, which compares to diseases like malaria and HIV. The leading causes of pollution are the necessities to burn fossil fuels along with the trash and sewage released into the ocean. When we use fossil fuels to gas up our motor vehicles, we emit CO2 into the atmosphere around us. Although pollution is a man-made problem, it affects all living things on Earth. It's up to us as humans to take initiative and reclaim our planet's health after all the damage we've done to it throughout the ages.…

1. Coastal landscapes are being transformed as a consequence of the increasing demand for urban infrastructure to sustain commercial, residential and tourist activities. A variety of man-made structures, such as breakwaters, jetties and seawalls have thus become ubiquitous features of intertidal and shallow subtidal habitats. This transformation will accelerate in response to the exponential growth of human populations and to global changes, such as sea-level rise and increased frequency of extreme meteorological events (e.g. storms). Here, we provide a critical overview of the major ecological effects of increasing infrastructure to marine habitats, we identify future research directions for advancing our understanding of marine urban ecosystems and we highlight how alternative management options might mitigate their impacts.…
