Ponyboy Monologue
Interviewer: “Today we’re sitting down with small town hero Ponyboy, yes that is his name and he loves it. How are you doing today Ponyboy?”
Ponyboy: “I’m doing well Tom, It’s not just me that’s a hero. My friend was the real hero, Johnny was his name. He was a true hero. My other friend was there, too. But he didn’t get any attention which is pretty sad, he’s dead, too. ”

He would be better off with the system because, the cake has a lot of sugar and it’s he’s eating a block of sugar everyday. So if Ponyboy stays with Darry he could get bad stomach problems involving diabetes and stomach and health issues. So the opponents that are on Darry’s side might argue that “ He’s a kid let him eat what he wants.” Then back to the system side, “ What’s good with letting him eat what he wants, when it could lead him to health issues, body problems, and possibly dying. So now that the system has a step up, Ponyboy will be better off with the system because they will make sure he gets a good breakfast EVERY MORNING!…

To begin, Dally helped Pony and Johnny get away when they were in trouble. Dally told Johnny and Pony “Hop the three-fifteen freight to Windrixville.” “There’s an abandoned church on the top of Jay Mountain.” (Hinton 61). This demonstrates how Dally doesn’t want Pony and Johnny to get put in jail like him, so he helps them get out of town so no one can catch them. Secondly, Dally saved Johnny from the fire at the church. The nurse said to Pony “He burned his arm pretty badly though, trying to drag the other kid out the window.” (Hinton 95). This means Dally risked his life just like Johnny did for Pony, to save Johnny from the fire when he got trapped. As you can see, Dally showed he was a hero during the book.…

I pulled my beanie securely on my head as I crouched down on a sturdy tree branch. My hunting knife reflected the dim light of the moon. It glinted letting my prey know I was there. "Yeah, I love a good chase!" I jumped from branch to branch as I chase my target. His brown hair was starting to gray but he ran pretty good for someone in their late forties. At least that's what boss lady said. I jumped down quietly as the man began to get tired. He began huffing as his pace slowed. I knocked into his back sending him into a tree. His chest heavily moved with his ragged breaths. I slowly approached him as I pulled my hunting knife back out. "Let play," I said in a deadpan tone. My eyes lost their light as I stared down at him.…

He is also brave because when he had a broken arm due to the fire, he still went to the rumble to help fight the Soc, when he said, “We gotta win that fight tonight. We gotta get even with those Socs! Let's do it for Johnny, man. We'll do it for Johnny!:He is a hero because he at least cared for one person which was Johnny because he felt bad for him.
