The first song played was Pippin. At the beginning of the song not everyone was playing the same dynamic, but when it got to the first transition everyone was balanced. After there was a new melody, there were occasional parts when one section stood out more. Those sections eventually fixed their dynamic. The next dynamic that could have been fixed was, the trumpets could have played a little bit quieter whenever they made a new entrance. After a few measures, they did play quieter and were balanced. When the band played what sounded like a waltz, no sections stood out and all of them played at an equal volume. In the end, the song was played well and was balanced.
The second song that was played was Jurassic Park. When the song started, it sounded like everyone was playing the right rhythms. There was one spot that sounded off for a second, but the band got back to playing correctly right away. Also, there were no sections that stood out through the entire time. The part that was the Avengers theme song had many different parts that went together well. At the part of the song from The Polar Express, the train whistles all sounded like one instrument, and there was a low brass reply to the melody that came in at the right time. The part at Night at the museum did not sound blended, but everyone was playing together. At the Forrest Gump theme song, the whole notes added a beat that brought out the melody more. At the end it sounded off. The band was moving together, but they could have blended together better. Overall, the piece was played really well according to my
