Like a number of current sitcoms, the male protagonists are portrayed as being afflicted by variant strands of perpetual adolescence. If they are not working, they are playing online role games, hanging out at a comic book store, or ingesting successive waves of takeout. Of course, a sitcom must include a subplot of ongoing sexual frustration, and "The Big Bang Theory" does not disappoint. The lone exception is the theoretical physicist who views "coitus" – as he calls it – as a mere distraction from his work.…

Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down, and I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air. These are the opening lines to the intro song of the television comedy “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, that me and every 90’s kids with a TV has had memorized since the day we first heard it. Even as you read that first sentence, you can’t help but to rap the words, and hum the tune as you envision a young Will Smith spinning on his royal chair with the graffiti background. The effect of the lyrics and the music video to this intro song goes way beyond pure entertainment value. The music video and lyrics spread happiness, smiles, and even helped to usher in a new generation of kids with the carefree fresh prince mindset.…

Boobie Miles in the book Friday Night Lights had minor differences from Boobie Miles in the movie. In the book they touched on boobie’s background and how he got to live with his uncle L.V. the movie didn’t touch on that. In the book Boobie had more pressure on him to do well in football than in the movie. The Odessa townspeople felt like he was only good for football and after his injury he was a nobody. In the movie people were less hateful towards him even though he suffered the serious injury.…

The curiosity humans have in our origin and worth has led to a remarkable search for answers to big questions about history starting from the very beginning. Big history cosmology looks to answer some of the biggest questions humans have about the universe. In this paper, big history will be explored through the formation of the current U.S. one cent coin or more commonly referred to as a penny. The big bang theory is a scientific origin story, based on real evidence which explores history in thresholds from the big bang to present. Thresholds are time periods that break up history into sections and each one is marked by significant pivotal events and emerging properties. Sheldon Cooper is a character in the fictional television show, “The Big Bang Theory”. Sheldon is extremely knowledgeable and brilliant in the things he knows and is passionate about, but everything else that doesn’t interest him, he completely ignores. Sheldon is a theoretical physicist at Caltech, having earned his B.S., M.S., M.A., Ph.D., and Sc.D. He lives with his roommate and Caltech colleague, Leonard Hofstadter, an experimental physicist. Having lived together for 10 years, the two have become best friends. Leonard often times feels obligated to explain Sheldon's behavior and serve as a mediator between him and the people he is interacting with. The two are usually hanging out with their two friends, Raj, an Astrophysicist at Caltech, and Howard. Howard is an engineer at Caltech with his masters from MIT but no doctorate, which Sheldon rarely fails to capitalize on. Sheldon undermines his work and accomplishments, which he often does to everyone in the group. They also hang out with Penny, Leonard and Sheldon’s, neighbor across the hall, in their apartment. Penny is a waitress, with dreams of becoming an actress. Sheldon is always saying what an awful actress Penny is and critiquing her waitressing skills, as the group would dine where she worked.…
