A couple of years ago there were just a couple of casinos in Manila, all owned and operated by Pagcor (owned by the government), but in the recent years a lot has changed and The Philippines is now expected to be one of the world’s top casino destinations in the near future.
Resorts World Bayshore is the 4th casino to open in Entertainment City Manila. Construction on the first phase of the resort will start in early 2013. The first phase of the casino resort is expected to open in 2016. Resorts World Bayshore will be over 3 times the size of Resorts World Manila and will include two hotels, a mall, a 3000 seat grand opera, restaurants, bars and of course a 24 hours casino. The resort will also have several residential towers and is rumored to include a small theme park.
One of the hotels in Resorts World Bayshore will be operated by Westin (Starwood hotels) and will be named the Westin Manila Bayshore and is set to on July 1 2016.
The Solaire Manila Resort and Casino is the first Casino that opened in Entertainment City Manila. It opened its doors to the public on March 16 2013. The casino is owned and operated by Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Inc.
Solair Casino is aiming to bring Vegas standard to Manila in terms of entertainment, sexy hostesses, free alcoholic drinks for playing customers, luxurious restaurants, a complete VIP floor, etc.
Currently the first phase of the casino is open and offers 185,000 square feet of casino space which will have over 1,200 slot machines and 300 gaming tables as well as a luxurious hotel which has over 500 rooms, including suites and bayside villas. A lot more space and hotel rooms will be added in the coming years during the next phases. Solaire also has a convention center, ball rooms, an entertainment area for live performances, a 1,300-square-meter spa and fitness center, outdoor pool and of course shops, bars and signature
