History of the School
Upper Tambler Elementary School I (UTES I) was the oldest public elementary school in Barangay Fatima. Founded in 1984, they existed to provide quality basic education that was equitably accessible and layed the foundation for the holistic lifelong learning and creative rational thinking. Their ultimate aim was to develop Filipino who were functionally literate, socially and morally responsible and nationalistic, yet receptive and contributory to positive global influences, thus, became productive members of the society. To ensured optimal learning outcomes, the school was implementing the Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) and the 8-week Curriculum for Grade I entrants who were not yet ready for Formal Schooling. The Grade I teachers conducted School Readiness Assessment (SRA) to all enrolless to determined whether they were ready for Formal Grade I. Besides implementing Brigada Eskwela, Schools First Initiative and other DepEd programs, UTES I was also offering special programs such as: Pre-School classes, Feeding Program to Malnourished pupils, Computer Literacy Program, Balance Reading Program and Solid Waste Management. In delivering educational services, they used both formal and non-formal modes of instructions. They also developed and implemented responsive methodologies and alternative delivery systems for our clientele.
