Keep a four week reflective diary, which explains examples of your experiences in the workplace. The diary should include a record of the date and time and a brief outline of the situation that you were part of, or witnessed.

I sit in the customer service department even though I am on the Sales Team, however the Sales guys are out on the road a lot so it’s good to be part of another team. I wasn’t sure how to compile a quote for a particular system and was able to ask my colleague Jane to help. This is an example of the benefits of working with a team and sharing knowledge.
18/09/14 – 11am – 3pm
I went on a site visit today with my colleague Juliet to the University College Hospital in London. We were going to show a customer a demonstration of the system MediCall. However, we encountered a problem when trying to demonstrate the system – we had the wrong power supply. We resolved this by getting a power supply from another department in the hospital that fortunately had one of our systems. However, the system still did not work yet we remained calm and professional and just arranged another appointment. If we had panicked the situation could have been a lot worse.

I had an enquiry from a customer today in regards to his order, our system was showing that his goods had been delivered however he was disputing this. I asked my colleague Jane the best way to resolve the situation, and she said to check with FedEx who deliver all our parcels. I went on their website and got evidence that the goods had been delivered and who they had been signed for by. I then took a print screen of this and sent it to the customer.
13/10/14 – 12pm
I received a call informing me that an engineer had gone to site to pick up some equipment but the site had actually changed hands and the new owners were refusing help and entry. I helped by speaking with the Manager and explaining the situation but was not any closer to achieving our goal of
