Positive And Negative Stereotypes

Stereotype is an assumption of what we’ve been told about a generalization of a group of people of things. One of many problems with any stereotype is that these thoughts or beliefs may or may not accurately reflect reality; even if it’s true in some cases, it’s certainly not true in all cases. You most often hear about negative stereotype, however while there are some positive stereotypes, any type of stereotyping is unethical and is not necessary in making decisions. Society as whole, should stereotype less because society has evolved and grown to be so diversified. While stereotype can be used to understand about something briefly, but it also prevents us to understand deeply, which can narrow our perspectives and ignore differences
