The participants answer to broad questions will assist the researcher to form an understanding.
The constructivist research will conduct research in the participants "world" going to their setting to better understand how their culture effects their world views. The researcher also analyzes the data with inherit biases. The researchers own culture can affect how he or she interrupts the data they have collected.
The researcher has no preconceived theories or hypothesis that her or she is trying to prove instead they will let the data that they collect inform their ideas. It is understood that those ideas are influenced by ones' culture and community (Creswell, 2014, pp. …show more content…
The fact the researcher has a cause to fight for and that cause is meant to shine a light on a segment of the population that many have chosen to ignore makes the results from this type of study invaluable. The information that is collected can change lives of thousands of people.
A post-positivist has a limited view on what research means. They do not explore different points of views or concepts sometimes data that may not fit into their structure. By limiting the research, the researcher risk not having all the variables that may lead to a complete understanding of the topic being studies. The researcher may also think that he or she can be objective but we are all humans and coconsciously or subconsciously we cannot separate our biases from the research we are conducting. (Johnson, 2017)
A constructivist has little focus guiding the study which means the researcher will have to collect a great deal of data to better understand the study. Since the researcher relies on human self-reporting that can be flawed. People's perceptions of themselves and their situations are subjective and can lead to inaccurate information. The researcher must be very careful when he or she is analyzing the data. The researchers own biases may also play a role in how the researcher interrupts the data they
