“Poverty and inequality always led to ignorance, and ignorance could not be diminished until and unless the actual steps to stop war and violence were taken,” stated by Achin Vanaik from the article “Poverty, inequality always lead to Ignorance”. Poverty is when one has no money, support or food, therefore causes people to be poor. By being in poverty it feeds on being ignorant because it causes people to have a lack of learning and caring about others. Due to the increase in poverty and poor education of the lives of the people have become filled with crime, poverty, shame and ignorance.
In society today, there has been an increase in poverty and that has caused many people such as teenagers to receive a poor education due to the communities that surround them. There are many reasons on why teenagers have been receiving a poor education such as gang influences. These influences affect the decisions of maintaining …show more content…
an education in their lives. Since they don’t have the support at home they assume that they don’t need to attend school. Given that teenagers stop attending school and get involved in criminal activities causes these teenagers to end up on the streets and surround by more crime. In the article, “Lack of Education Contributes to Crime”, by Fabiola Castillo, states, “Crime can be attributed to the lack of education on the part of the perpetrator or their families.” (Beaver, Castillo is stating that the lack of education in both the perpetrator and family causes crime. You are stating that the crime scenes are the ones that cause the crimes. ) She is stating that the crime scenes are the ones that are contributing to the lack of education that the kids are getting. Also, she later then states that, “Kids who grow up in families that do not stress the importance of getting an education are more likely to be living out on the streets, doing drugs, joining gangs, or ending up in prison.” This goes back to how kids are getting a poor education and the concepts that Castillo has stated are true. Many teenagers do end up doing drugs, going to jail or getting involved with gangs. Due to the poor education that kids are receiving in our current society, it leads to poverty and shame.
People start to hate their position in society and are disappointed in who they are.
As parents start to see that their children are involved in gangs, doing drugs and being seen out on the streets, society begins to judge the parents for not raising their children properly. Castillo states, “Teach your child that involvement in gangs, violence, drugs, and/or extortion will not get him anywhere but prison.” If parents do not teach their children about these types of situations in life they might learned it by themselves. When parents don’t advice their children at an early age they will learn the hard way. It might be too late when parent decide to talk to their children because their children may not be able to get out of the situation they have gotten themselves in. It is better to be able to teach your kids about these things instead of letting them find out by themselves. It is important that you don’t find yourself hating your position in society and disappoint yourself that you did not do your job as a
parent.
Castillo says, “If you are raising a child, question your child as to what is going on in school if he/she displays academic difficulty… You are the first role model that a child looks toward infancy.” Instead of hating yourself as a parent, try to be a role model for your children. If you are a single parent don’t lead them to the bad part of life and see them be in prison for joining gangs. Even if the parents did not receive the best education when they were younger, it is better to not let your own children follow the same footsteps. Poverty disappoints people because of the position they are in society and that makes them feel left out of place, and causes them to commit crime.
The lack of education causes problems and creates poverty and everything in society. Many people feel ignorant for having a lack of education because without an education teenagers won’t be able to get a good paying job later on in life. By having a lack of education it causes more problems in society because it increases the crime rates. Lack of education makes it harder for teenagers to gain money and try to help their parents because instead they get involved in selling drugs. They think this is the right way of making money, but in reality they get caught up with the wrong people and in trouble with the police. Making the right decisions is very important because this is related with getting an education. Without an education life could be harder and might create many problems in society.
(Beaver work on this paragraph because it seems that you are going in circles. )Poverty leads to ignorance by having crime rates increase, a lack of education, and ignorance. The quality of education is poor, crime rates increase, and the ignorance of the parents causes all of these issues to happen in society because of poverty which allows ignorance to occur. Teenagers should get the best education and should be supported by their parents and not be influenced by society.
