spurs.” (pg. 40) He uses the animals as his own entertainment and does not seem to care about them. Napoleon has been using his power as a leader to have things the way he pleases or he would figure out a way to get his way by the use of his power. Between Napoleon and Snowball there was an argument between the building of a windmill, which then came to a conclusion that the windmill will be built only with the help of the animals in the farm.
When the windmill was completed Napoleon took the animals credited for building the windmill. “Napoleon himself, attended by his dogs and his cockerel, came down to inspect the completed work; he personally congratulated the animals on their achievement, and announced that the mill would be named Napoleon Mill.” (pg. 42) Even though Napoleon congratulated the animals for their great work he gave himself credit by naming the windmill after himself and not the by the animals. Napoleon took the benefit of being the leader of the farm by naming the windmill after
himself. The power that the pigs had did not tend to corrupt and the absolute power did not corrupt absolutely because the pigs just wanted together to create a farm where animals have a good life and they used their power for their own goodwill because if something bad happened to Napoleon there would be no good animal in the farm that will be able to run the farm as well as Napoleon. Even though this is a good reason why Napoleon might be treating the animals like this it shouldn't give him the right to treat them like slaves.
