For example Buddhism teaches us that life brings on constant changes and someone can always find a way to make him or herself or a situation better. It shows to view everything in a positive way rather than negative. Hinduism is one of the largest religion practiced today, though unlike Buddhism and Taoism, Hinduism believe in multiple God and each God teaches a different view. Hinduism believes in reincarnation, which is why they don’t kill cows or elephants. Taoism out of all 3 is the smallest religion and is a Chinese religion that practice living life with pure harmony leaving anything negative out. Meaning- Hinduism teaches that there are four primary goals for life. They are pleasure, wealth, harmony, and liberation. One person can never attain all four goals at the same time though. They are constantly at war with each other. If one persues pleasure and wealth it consumes them but if they persue harmony and liberation they are fulfilled. Their concept of salvation is called moksha. This is the release from the endless cycle of wanting, desiring, and craving. Central Hinduism is based on abandoning the first two goals of pleasure and wealth and achieving the latter two, harmony and liberation.…

One central belief of Jainism, which stands in contrast to both Hinduism and Sikhism, is the dismissal of belief in a creator God. According to Jainism, the universe is eternal and composed of two components. One of these is Jiva or “soul”, “spirit”, or “life”, and ajiva “nonsoul” or “nonlife”. This dualistic expression of reality continues to the Jainism belief that the universe goes through cycles, and in the belief that human beings are composed of opposing forces one material and the other spiritual (Molloy, p194, 2010).…

In the Hindu religion, there are nine essential beliefs that you must believe in to be considered a Hindu. One of those beliefs is the belief in one supreme being, saying that there is one “being” who creates and destroys the universe. The second belief is the belief that the Vedas, the Hindu sacred texts, are Divine and that they are truly a representation of how to live in the religion. The third belief, relating to the first, is that the universe goes through cycles of formation and deformation that never end. The fourth belief is that karma exists and it is that which determines fate through causes and effect. The fifth belief is that everybody will eventually achieve moksha, separation from a cycle of eternal reincarnation, and that there…

Some differences between Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism were that Buddhism is a philosophy or way of life which leads to a moral life. Its founder was Siddartha Gotma. It also has no creation or narrative about everything that happened. It uses Indian cultural referances. Buddhists believe that enlightenment is achieved by individual effort and mediation. Judaism uses Jewish cultural references. They don’t believe that desire causes suffering unlike Buddhists. Judaism also doesn’t give a description of the afterlife. Hinduism is polytheistic, and the prophets of each religion are different. Hinduism cannot trace to all the way back when it was created. It is a mix of all different beliefs. It also believes in truth, honesty, nonviolence, perseverance and penance. Some similarities between these three are that Judaism and Buddhism both don’t stress the afterlife, they both don’t allow being mean to others, and both religions don’t get themselves into persuading to switch over to their religion. Judaism and Hinduism are alike because they both are very ancient religions, both are monotheistic, and both have sacred writing, Hinduism has Vedas and Judaism has Tanakh. Buddhism and Hinduism are similar because they both believe in karma, they both believe in certain spiritual practices like meditation and concentration, they both believe in desire is the cause of suffering, they both originated and evolved in the Indian soil, the founder of Buddhism was Hindu who became known as the Buddha. Buddhism, Judaism, and Hinduism are all different and similar in many different…

All Eastern religions have various things in common. The view of how a person should spend their lives in this earth is all too similar yet they all have a different way of living and showing their devotion. Many of these cultures revolve around a simple idea of reaching nirvana and finally leading to moksha- the release from the eternal circle of life or mukti in Sikhism. Many of the Eastern religions also focus of keeping good karma and respecting the spiritual world by praying to their ancestors. Many of them view the world as full of spirits, that there are spiritual beings in everything we see and everything we touch, and to respect these spirits will finally lead to the liberation from the earth.…
